Colorless transparent volatile liquid with ether-like odor and sweet taste. Relative density: D4201.326Kg/L, boiling point: 40.4℃, solution point: -96.7℃, spontaneous combustion point: 615℃. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, toxic, anesthetic stimulation. Dichloromethane hydrolyzes with water, and commercial dichloromethane contains stabilizers to prevent hydrolysis. Dichloromethane and high oxygen concentration will produce explosive mixture, but not flammable, is one of the commonly used industrial solvents with low toxicity, non-flammable, low boiling point.
USES:
Noncombustible solvent: l paint cleaning, film removal agent, l degreasing agent, cellulose triacetate solvent; Solvents in the production of film, aerosol, antibiotics and vitamins; Foaming agent: used for foaming engineering plastics; Used for production of flame retardant series products; Used to replace F11 and F12 products; Used for synthesis of fine chemical products.
Packaging, storage and transportation:
Methylene chloride is sealed and packed in galvanized iron drum, black iron drum or tank truck. The filling volume is 80% of the container. Nitrogen protection can be provided for users with special requirements. Storage should be placed in a dry and cool place, the warehouse should have ventilation facilities, avoid contact with high concentration of oxygen or oxide, avoid contact with water to prevent hydrolysis. Transportation shall comply with the provisions of the People's Republic of China on transportation of hazardous chemicals by road and railway.
